The musician made a special socially distant appearance at Dodger Stadium this week as well. On the day of his 75th birthday, Fogerty could think of no better way to celebrate than by finally getting to play his hit song from centerfield at Dodger Stadium. Well as a youngster I dreamed of playing baseball, baseball certainly was my favorite thing as a child. I dreamed of playing centerfield.

Watch John Fogerty and the ‘Fogerty’s Factory’ Family Band Play ‘Blueboy’ from Their Home Studio
Photo by Julie Fogerty. The project began as the Fogerty family quarantined together and naturally turned to music to heal and reconnect with their newfound time together. What started as a YouTube series turned into an EP along with television and radio appearances. When the world stopped in March due to the pandemic, the news was bleak and scary.
Throughout lockdown, Fogerty and his children — Shane, Tyler and Kelsey — have filmed a series of Creedence and Fogerty songs that did exactly what was required: make the viewer forget their troubles for a few short minutes. On John's 75th birthday the family upped the ante further, gathering at an empty Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles to film a cover of Centerfield , the title track from Fogerty's solo album. The audio from all the various sessions was compiled for an EP release, but the family has continued recording, and now Fogerty's Factory will be released as a full-length album with a revised tracklist. In our family, music has brought us so much joy and we thought we could somehow share that joy in a pure, unscripted form. She was a senior then and wasn't able, like so many, to enjoy her last year of high school. This was a wonderful way of connecting with our family and fans through music. The family also recreated the cover photo from the classic Cosmo's Factory release, using similar props to create the cover of Fogerty's Factory see below. Remember no stores or fancy productions were used since nothing was open.
As the most important member of Creedence Clearwater Revival who were the most successful band in America when at their late s peak John Fogerty would be considered a legend regardless of what he did next. In fact, his solo career only proved that he had been the guiding light in Creedence. From on he has made a select number of albums that have kept him to the forefront of roots rock and to some extent he is one of the founding fathers of Americana. His debut, credited to The Blue Ridge Rangers was essentially a resume of his favourite country songs while his self-titled John Fogerty album returned him to the authentic CCR style. He enjoyed some success with the teenage band The Golliwogs, featuring brother Tom, Doug Clifford and Stu Cook who would go on to extraordinary fame and success as Creedence Clearwater Revival though before that John did his time when drafted into the US Military. Amazingly the album was a flop on release and instigated a move to Warner Bros for whom John made Centerfield , Eye of the Zombie and Blue Moon Swamp , sticking to his heartland tumbleweed template and continuing to pen songs of the highest order.
